BDD Open Studios: Design Behind Closed Doors

The BDD (Brunswick Design District) invites visitors to step behind normally closed studio doors across two days of discovery: celebrating local creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Hillvale Photo Studio

BDD Design Behind Closed Doors opens the working spaces of Merri-bek’s diverse creative businesses — from design studios and makers to local producers, offering a rare glimpse into where ideas come to life.

There are 13 unique studios participating in this exclusive opportunity featuring a wide range of practices from large-scale sculpture, to millinery, illustration to lighting, furniture to fashion and textiles, printmaking to photography and music to medical breakthrough technology.

Each studio is hosting their own showcase with some presenting talks, exhibitions, hands on workshops and even an exclusive dinner.
