Announcing RMIT PlaceLab! Play your part in making Brunswick even better.

RMIT PlaceLab are urban research sites located in the local neighbourhoods of Melbourne & Brunswick. These living labs are open to all, co-created and co-authored by the community, industry and academia. RMIT PlaceLab will work closely with the Brunswick Design District here in Brunswick to deliver tangible, practical projects and solutions for the area that are underpinned by compelling and convincing research. This is research built for purpose, place and people.

Located in the heart of Brunswick and operating as a spatial, digital and social network, PlaceLab aims to democratise and make visible academic research. With the aim of building local capability and resilience, PlaceLab fosters inclusion and accessibility to the growing networks of community knowledge, innovation, and exchange.

PlaceLab will be hosted by RMIT as a trusted advisor and knowledge broker – able to engage and mobilise a broad and diverse range of partners including local communities, industry partners, peak bodies and all levels of government.

Working across multiple sectors and bringing various groups together, the plan is to  engage, research, transform and repeat. Stay tuned for more information and ways you can get involved in RMIT PlaceLab.
